Raytheon has been given the chance to be able to replace the entire US Air Force Northrop Fleet. This process will only be valid if and when Raytheon partnership with Leonardo is successful in a four-way competition to replace the T-38 Talon fleet. The other competitors are amongst some of the most well-known companies in the Industry. With Raytheon being one of the top choices it is competing with Boeing/SAAB, and Northrop Grumman. AS Boeing/SAAB, and Northrop Grumman have not quite picked their assembly location they have sent for some of their beginning clean sheet prototypes to tested in places such as St Louis and Palmdale.
Raytheon has agreed on a final site for the assembly of the T-100 to be held in Meridian Mississippi. Shortly after the Raytheon decision, Lockheed Martin released that they will assemble the T-50 model in Greenville, South Carolina with the help of the Korea Aerospace Industries. Raytheon has a slight advantage with staying put in its primary location and just expanding its manufacturing operations. The plant is located in east Mississippi and will continue to expand to about an approximate 72km west and will be home to the assembly of active electronically scanned arrays for airborne radars. These competitors continue to work vigorously around the clock to be the number one selection for the US Navy contract. Sources say that the Air Force is scheduled to release its final request for proposals for the T-X contract in December. The Ending reward will be the opportunity to replace more than 420 T-38C aircrafts that hare currently serving in the air force as an advanced trainer for fighter and bomber pilots. Raytheon / Leonardo’s team has respectfully agreed to use their M346 model as their bid.

The Production of Bombardiers C series shipment has been delayed due to the delivery delays of the PW1500 geared turbofan produced by Pratt & Whitney. The Shipment commenced with a total of 15 C series to be shipped by the year and has slowly decreased to load of 7. Pratt & Whitney calls a “supply chain difficulty” as a leading reason for the delay but have not yet completely addressed the entire issue. They have agreed on to inform on the step by step of the completion of the order to any customer as they carry out the delivery process.
Despite Pratt & Whitney’s issue earlier this year regarding technical problems with their PW1500G an approved spokesman can concur that “That issue is completely behind us.”
The first shipment of the C Series CS100 have already been active for six weeks for the launch operator Swiss International Airlines. Per Bombardier, they have successfully delivered two aircrafts to a Lufthansa sub diary which has been reported to have been flown approximately 400 revenue flights and have ranked up 600 air flight hours.
Due to many delays in the production process, Bombardier has expected to receive lower revenues coming from their Commercial Aircraft for the year without affecting their earnings before interest & tax. Bombardier is preparing to slowly close out their quarter on the slight decrease in their numbers. As the entire bombardier,” expects to close the quarter at the lower end of its $16.5 billion to $17.5 billion revenue guidance range, while EBIT finishes at the upper end of the $200- to $400 million range.”
In September Bombardier received its last 500 million installments from Quebec’s government to invest in the C Series program. With this contribution, it is estimated that Quebec’s government has given just about 1 Billion dollars giving them 49.5 % share of the latest C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP) as Bombardier still owns the larger half.

Airbus Group SE has just announced that they will combine all of its existing divisions into a single company sixteen years after it was initially formed. This represents a major step towards simplifying a business that is a major player in everything from jetliners to space launchers. Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders has made it his personal mission to cut costs and speed up the decision-making process within the company. The number two in the company is Fabrice Bregier who becomes the chief operating officer while also retaining his position as head or president of the main plane making unit which has since been renamed to Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Bregier will have oversight of the company’s entire portfolio as the chief operating officer which includes missiles, satellites, helicopters and defense electronics.
The main driving force behind the revamp, which was announced Friday, is aimed at establishing Airbus as a regular company while dropping the antiquated business model that was created back in 2000 as part of the largest merger between France, Germany, and Spain aerospace companies. The plan for succession is intended for the 55 year old Frenchman Bregier to succeed the 57 year old German Enders when he decides to finally hang it up. Airbus stock has declined 15 percent this year valuing the company at 40.6 billion euros and Marwan Lahoud is now the number two at the corporate level.
Lahoud’s role as strategy director will have his research and development activities overseen by Paul Eremenko who has worked for Google and Pentagon’s advanced-research arm. And while Airbus has revealed nothing into the scope of potential job cuts, Enders has cautioned that the changes on the workforce “are not negligible.” He also said that the cuts won’t approach the level of the Power8 programs which costed 8,000 people their jobs but ultimately saved 2.5 billion euros annually.
Here at ASAP Supply Chain, we have a dedicated and expansive array of Airbus products. We are your one-stop shop and go destination for a simplified sourcing solution. ASAP will ensure that our consumers’ needs are addressed in the most expeditious and transparent manner all the while offering cost-effective component solutions therefore improving our your negotiation power and profit margins. The Iranian airbase received a Russian spacecraft which too first in combat mission the following day. While the Russian aircraft flew around on the sixteenth of August, it attacked Syrian Provinces named Aleppo and Deir Ezzoir. The Middle East is an oil-rich country and they have accepted Russians again and unfortunately, this is going to cause problems with power inside the Middle East. August 15th concluded with Russian aviation making an appearance at the airbase located in Iran.
The main goal is to have Iran target Syria and has permission from Iraq. However, Russian soldiers are welcomed to some extent at targeting Syria but may not fly over Iraq cities, so they do have limitations. There is not only one, but two Iran bases to allow Russian soil. Hamedan is where the air force in Iran base themselves, and they have welcomed Russian Soldiers as well. The military base has occupied Russian soldiers since 2015 and has many fighter jets and helicopters occupying the base. Some examples of aviation that Russia has located there is 35S multirole fighters, Su-34 interdiction aircraft, and fire-support helicopter. Altogether they have a range of 70 Russian fighters on the base.

Two billion dollars was given to Boeing received from the Pentagon due to the midcourse defense system that is based on the ground. However, the money was still collected even though targets were not destroyed, like they were intended to. The USA held a regulation on eleven flights for the Defense system. The goal was to shoot the missiles over the Pacific Ocean using an underground cellar procedure. Unfortunately, the targets were not hit, only five out of the eleven were a success. With that being said, this defense system is not dependable on an attack towards North Korea nor Iran. Even though the defense system failed, Boeing still received 21 billion dollars from the Pentagon because of the administering of the system that they provided.
Time Magazine did a little bit of snooping and discovered that price had changed to play down the priority of the outcome of the conclusion the system gave us. Originally the more money was given to Boeing as long as they had an outstanding “hit to kill ratio.” Most people could agree that two billion dollars is a lot considering that the actions preformed were not outstanding. Chris Johnson, a spokesman dedicated to the missile agency stood up for Boeing by discussing that the benchmark was met concluding all the contract requirements, so therefore the bonuses were necessary in his eyes.
Time’s went as far as taking the money issues to court stating that we deserve to know about the money transfers and that Boeing cannot keep them confidential as if they are hiding something. Eventually the Defense Department decided to give in and wrote down every bonus they have given to Boeing which amounted to a shocking number of 1,959,072,946 dollars. Besides giving the information of dollar amount, the defense department also paid 15,000 dollars towards the hassle of legal damage to Time’s. Boeing is continuing to rack in money from the Defense Department for all of the contracts that they have.
ASAP Semiconductor owns and operates ASAP Supply chain where you can get all your aviation parts. We have top leading manufactures. One of the top manufactures that we work with is Boeing. Some top products that we have from Boeing are connectors and bearings on top of many more.
As technology advances exploring becomes easier and more practical, NASA is willing to offer $1 million for the first team that can put together a robot that can be virtually controlled from Earth as it travels to Mars. NASA wants a robot, similar to Robonaut 5 that can re-align communication satellites and maybe fix any number of environmental disturbances, especially when dealing with communication delays between Earth and Mars. This competition is going to be a partnership with Space Houston and the innovation consultant organization NineSigma. Creating robots that can perform very steady and precise applications in order to work with any delays in communication can be of great advantage in spaceflight or landing missions on Mars, and any other mission that deals with any complications that may or will occur.
Just like Robonaut 5 NASA wants a robot to be humanoid which means it is designed to function or move like a human would. This makes it easier for the robot to do similar things to what a person can do. NASA initially began working on this project back in 1996, since then the engineers have been slowly modifying and improving Robonaut. However, NASA is looking into the future and they want a project to be completed for the near future mission were a robot can be controlled virtually and resolve most of the communication issues that space travel brings. Teams are being chosen this year, by December the final decision will be made as to who will enter this contest and the Final decision will be held in June of 2017, but until then the chosen teams get to practice their rounds as many times as they want and in December of 2017 the final decision will be taken as to which robotic software and hardware is going to win the contest and be part of NASA’s missions.

Student in Singapore comes with a brilliant idea to build his own flying machine and now it is called the electric paraglider. It is very remarkable not only because it was designed by a student but because of the simplicity of the electric aircraft. It is as simple as having two fan propellers joined to a seated tripod or a very simple trike and a paraglider attached to the trike that when in motion it will elevate the entire machine into the air causing it to glide very effortlessly.
The student got recognized because the electric aircraft he designed is very light and it might be considered to be the lightest electric paraglider. This project was initiated by the National Geographic channel and it was part of the “Machine Impossible” challenge.
National Geographic wanted to create a challenge for designing and building a machine that can fly, be photogenic and fun. The name that was given to the tricycle was “the Delta” and it consisted of 2 propeller fans that operate with Lithium polymer batteries. For the simplicity of the design there were few factors that the designer had to keep in mind, the first part was to find a light enough wing or a blade that can elevate the tricycle effortlessly. Which in this case, a cloth paraglider was most appropriate.
The propeller and skeleton of the bike had to be made from light enough materials to allow the machine to elevate off the ground, they also have to be strong enough for safety. The tripod glider is a single person glider and the pilot is protected by an aluminum cage surrounding him, even though some fiberglass was combined in the body of the machine to soften any crash landing.
