Airbus Delivers The First Aircraft to the Norwegian Company

Airbus Aircraft has been one of the most successful aircraft manufacturing companies, they have been recognized for their state of the art manufacturing capabilities and edge technologies. Their recognition has delivered them customers from all over the globe including military and government forces that depend on reliable equipment that will last them in the line of duty. Having said that, Norwegian’s subsidiary Arctic Aviation Ltd. has received their first order of an Airbus airplane, the Airbus320neo. This is not the only airplane that they will receive but instead this is the first airplane of an order of 70 aircrafts that have been requested by the Norwegian company. This has also been the first order of 12 aircrafts for the Hong Kong carrier HK Express, because there are business relationships between Arctic Aviation Assets Ltd (AAA) and HK Express.

UKs Billion-Dollar Investment Goes in the Air for UAV Fleet

The UK Royal Air Force has decided to invest an approximate 1 billion dollars into their medium altitude long endurance division of aircrafts. Italian Army Receives 487 Million For Next-Gen AW129

The Italian Army has received a grant fund of 487 million dollars from the Italian Parliament’s Defense Committee to create a new helicopter which will replace the current 1980’s AW129 Mangusta attack helicopter. Agusta Helicopter's AW129 Mangusta was originally produced and designed by Agusta and holds the distinction as being the first attack helicopter to be wholly produced and designed in Europe. It entered service in the Italian Army back in 1990’s.

Qingdoa has allegedly chosen to allow well known aviation company Pratt & Whitney to supply them with their Purepower geared turbofan (GTF) engine.  With an order placed of 18 GTFs to be installed into their newly bought Airbus A320neo aircrafts.  Per Pratt and Whitney, the GTF will,” reduce fuel consumption by 16% minimize regulated emissions by 50%, and lower noise by 75 %.” The GTF has been making a well-known name for its self already being implemented in 24 aircrafts in a total of 8 airlines worldwide.

Airbus Under Pressure to Hit 2016 Deadlines

Gregory Polek wrote an article for AIN Online talking about how Airbus has been under a lot of heat in order to his 2016 delivery goals. It seems as if CFO Harald Wilhelm is having trouble with certain suppliers as he has having problems resolving issues. In order to meet the goal for A350 airplane goal, Airbus Group would need to delivery 24 more planes. As of October 26th 2016, the company already has plans of delivering in 50 more A350s by the end of the year. In total, this would bring Airbus to 670 airplanes by the end of the year.

Engine Supply Delay To Slow C-Series Deliveries

The Production of Bombardiers C series shipment has been delayed due to the delivery delays of the PW1500 geared turbofan produced by Pratt & Whitney. The Shipment commenced with a total of 15 C series to be shipped by the year and has slowly decreased to load of 7. Pratt & Whitney calls a “supply chain difficulty” as a leading reason for the delay but have not yet completely addressed the entire issue.  They have agreed on to inform on the step by step of the completion of the order to any customer as they carry out the delivery process.

Airbus Group to Merge with One Company

Airbus Group SE has just announced that they will combine all of its existing divisions into a single company sixteen years after it was initially formed. This represents a major step towards simplifying a business that is a major player in everything from jetliners to space launchers. Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders has made it his personal mission to cut costs and speed up the decision-making process within the company. The number two in the company is Fabrice Bregier who becomes the chief operating officer while also retaining his position as head or president of the main plane making unit  which has since been renamed to Airbus Commercial Aircraft. Bregier will have oversight of the company’s entire portfolio as the chief operating officer which includes missiles, satellites, helicopters and defense electronics.

Russia And India To Sign a Helicopter Deal

India and Russia are having talks about joining intelligence in the aerospace industry and they are agreeing to start a joint business in building the multitask Kamov-226 helicopter in India. This has been stated by the manufacturer Russian Helicopter to Reuters. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin has agreed to travel to India in order to speak with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi about future plans and investments, that are going to happen between the two countries. Boeing Collects $2 Billion in Bonuses for Missile Defense System That Doesn’t Work

Two billion dollars was given to The Boeing Company received from the Pentagon due to the midcourse defense system that is based on the ground. However, the money was still collected even though targets were not destroyed, like they were intended to. The USA held a regulation on eleven flights for the Defense system. The goal was to shoot the missiles over the Pacific Ocean using an underground cellar procedure. Unfortunately, the targets were not hit, only five out of the eleven were a success. With that being said, this defense system is not dependable on an attack towards North Korea nor Iran. Even though the defense system failed, Boeing still received 21 billion dollars from the Pentagon because of the administering of the system that they provided.

$1 Million for the First Simulated Droid That Can Go To Mars

As technology advances exploring becomes easier and more practical, NASA is willing to offer $1 million for the first team that can put together a robot that can be virtually controlled from Earth as it travels to Mars. NASA wants a robot, similar to Robonaut 5 that can re-align communication satellites and maybe fix any number of environmental disturbances, especially when dealing with communication delays between Earth and Mars. This competition is going to be a partnership with Space Houston and the innovation consultant organization NineSigma. Creating robots that can perform very steady and precise applications in order to work with any delays in communications can be of great advantage in spaceflight or landing missions on Mars, and any other mission that deals with any complications that may or will occur.
