India and Russia are having talks about joining intelligence in the aerospace industry and they are agreeing to start a joint business in building the multitask Kamov-226 helicopter in India. This has been stated by the manufacturer Russian Helicopter to Reuters. The Russian President, Vladimir Putin has agreed to travel to India in order to speak with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi about future plans and investments, that are going to happen between the two countries. There has been constant communication between the two countries for months on end in regarding this joint deal of Helicopter Parts and Cargo.
Communication has been happening between Indian State-run Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Russian Helicopter and state-owned arms exporter Rosoboronexport. Russian Helicopter has agreed to sign for this deal but there are some details that cannot be shared during this time about the details of the agreement, and why is the delay. Rostec, a company that is part of the Russian state conglomerate does not want to release some of the details about the timing of the project.
Russian Helicopter has mentioned how they are pleased to join this deal with their partners in India, because not only it gives the opportunity to assemble helicopters and produce more job possibilities, but they are pleased to share some of the technological advances that are precisely unique in the helicopter parts industry. This type of Helicopter, Kamov-226, can be used in military combat and be modified for heavy duty usage, it also can be used as a civilian helicopter. Russian Helicopter has also stated that this project will also create a supplier in the east as they can utilize this opportunity to supply helicopter parts to other countries.
