Bombardier and Hawker Pacific Extend Authorized Service Facility Agreement for Q Series

Bombardier’s Commercial Aircraft division has recently unveiled that have reached a new five-year extended Authorized Service Facility (ASF) agreement with Australian aerospace company Hawker Pacific.  The new deal was largely expected by those familiar with Bombardier since Hawker had already been collaborating with Bombardier since 2007.

Bombardier and Air Inuit Collaborate on Q300 Freighter

Bombardier and Canada based airline Air Inuit have announced that they will soon begin working on a joint project involving the conversion of Bombardier Q300 turboprop aircrafts from passenger planes to cargo freighters.  As one of the most prominent users of the Q300 aircraft, Air Inuit had been pushing for a Q300 turboprop passenger to freighter conversion for quite some time.  Essentially, the project will involve the two companies working together to add a large cargo door and create as much space inside the Q300s as possible.  The final cargo freighter version of the Q300s will have a capacity of approximately 12,500 lbs.

The European defense has increasing their spending on aeroplane parts by over 8 perfect this year which, in the grand scope of things, has reversed on declining budgets of 20 years.

Universal Avionics Multi-Function Display Selected by Ravn Alaska

Ravn Alaska, an air marketing brand operated by Corvus Airlines and formerly known as Alaska Structures Inc, has recently selected Universal Avionics, an international company primarily focused on cockpit instrument displays and Flight Management Systems, for their MFD-890R Multi-Function Display (MFD). Integrations are currently taking place at Avmax in Calgary through the Engineering Division in order to provide weather and critical flight safety information to Dash 8 operators.

EPS Diesel engine passes 100 hours

Engineered Propulsion Systems is in the process of building a clean sheet diesel engine for aviation purposes, with everything going according to plan so far. The engine is thought to combine power and efficiency unlike anything that has ever been seen before. It is a Graflight V-8 engine, but is not based on automotive design. Through its initial testing, it has been even better than experts expected. It has displayed a horsepower of 360, and it is looking likely it will break that barrier once modifications are made. EPS president Michael Fuchs expressed his delight in a February 3rd news release.
